Frame & Construction
	• Most frames are kiln dried hard wood to prevent warping and splitting • Pegs, screws and nails are used to secure the frame together • Furniture meets UFAC fire safety standards - inner fabric lining helps protect against fire. • Frame & Construction Warranty is Lifetime (see New Owner Warranty)
Springs
	• S-shape No Sag 8 gauge sinuous springs in the seating; 11 gauge in the back • Teflon coated seat clips to prevent squeaking • Springs Warranty is 10 years (see New Owner Warranty)
Webbing
	• Many of our contemporary styles use 100% Pirelli webbing • Webbing helps to evenly distribute weight, increase comfort, and ensure durability • Lifetime Warranty on Webbing
Foam
	• 2 lb and higher density foam used in all models, giving furniture a longer life • Extra padding is used on the arms and around the frame • Optional Ultracel™ foam upgrade with 10 year warranty (see New Owner Warranty) • Foam Warranty is 5 years (see New Owner Warranty)
Fabric

2. What to Know Before & After you Purhcase a Custom Sofa

Before
	• Are you buying for comfort or design? • Have you measured your doorway and entrance - will it fit? • Did you receive the fabric cleaning code relevant to your purchase? • Sun and heat fade dark fabrics; is your sofa going near a window?
After
	• Vacuum furniture regularly and turn cushions to keep it looking new. • If you have a concern or product issue contact the retailer you purchased from. • When calling the retailer have the original bill of sale and Puchase Order number ready. • Wherever possible supply digital pictures of product issues Back to Top

4. Fabric Cleaning Codes & Recommendations

W	Clean this fabric (with foam only) or a water-based cleaning agent such as: Ivory Flakes,Glamorene, Brissell Foam, Upholstery Cleaner, Tide. These have all been found to be suitable.
X	Clean this fabric only by light brushing and vacuuming. Do not use liquid cleaner of any type as fading and staining could result. CAUTION: Do NOT use water-based or detergent-based cleaners as this may cause a permanent stain.
S	Clean this fabric with pure solvent petroleum distilled based products such as: Energene, Carbona, Renuzit or similar water free solvents.
WS	Clean this fabric with either water-based foam or pure solvent as described in W and S.
If Fabric Protection Has Been Purchased:
	• DO NOT clean the area that has been soiled as cleaning it could void the warranty. • Contact the fabric protection company immediately after the spill.
If Fabric Protection Has Not Been Purchased:
	• Always test the cleaning agent to be used on an inconspicuous portion of the fabric. • Frequent light brushing and vacuuming is recommended to prevent overall soil. • Clean and reverse cushions at least once a month. • Remove spilled stains immediately and always blot, NEVER rub.

5. New Owner Warranty - Fabric

Limited Warranty
	This warranty applies to new upholstered furniture. Van Gogh Designs warrants the individual furniture components to be free from any defects in materials and workmanship for the length of time specified. This warranty applies to normal household usage & regular wear by the original owner. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from negligent misuse, accident, freight handling damage, exposure to pets or commercial use. Van Gogh Designs retains the option to repair or replace any defective item.
Frame-Lifetime limited Warranty
	The kiln-dried hardwood frame is warranted to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects.
Springs-10 Year Limited Warranty
	The coil spring units and No Sag springs of Van Gogh Designs upholstered products are warranted against breakage due to defective material or workmanship for the lifetime of the product upholstered in original fabric under normal use and conditions.
Cushions-5-10 Year Limited Warranty
	Van Gogh Designs upholstered products utilize high-density polyurethane cushioning materials in conjunction with layers of polyester fibre for superior seating comfort and lasting wear ability. Cushions are warranted against loss of resiliency for 5 years to 10 years. (Please consult retailer for more information.) The loss of resiliency should not be confuse with slight softening and flattening of the polyester fibers and foam that will occur as a result of normal use and aging.
Sofabed Mechanisms-2 Years Residential / 3 Years Contract
	The sleeper mechanisms (all metal parts) are warranted to be free of defects for three years from the date of purchase. Inner spring sleeper mattresses are warranted to be free of defects for two years.
Fabric-One Year
	Upholstered fabrics are warranted against defective materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase under normal care and use. This warranty does not cover fading, pilling, shrinkage, or exposure to direct sunlight, and is not valid where there is evidence of heavy soiling or abuse. Improper cleaning is also excluded from this warranty.
Warranty Service
	The warranty extends to the original purchaser only and all claims for service must be accompanied by proof of purchase. Warranty is redeemable through the retail dealer where the furniture was purchased. The Manufacturer will not be responsible for transportation, shipping or packing charges without prior approval. Repairs or replacement, as determined by the manufacturer, will be made as soon as practical. Back to Top

6. New Owner Warranty - Leather

Limited Warranty
	Van Gogh Designs warrants the individual furniture components to be free from any defects in materials and workmanship for the length of time specified. This warranty applies to normal household usage & regular wear by the original owner. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from negligent misuse, accident, cuts, burns, freight handling damage, aftermarket leather treatments, expsosure to pets, improper cleaning or commercial use. Van Gogh Designs retains the option to repair or replace any defective item.
All Leather Furniture Components - 1 Year
	All leather furniture will be under warranty for a period of one year after date of purchase by the consumer. Please see "Limited Warranty" above where warranties are void. Back to Top
